Damselfly Coaching:
Change your storyline

"Success isn't about how much money you make; it's about the difference you make in people's lives."

Michelle Obama

Mentoring and coaching for those in health and social care.

  • How are you enhancing your leadership ability?

  • How will you flourish as a leader?

  • What will you do to develop your own style as a manager and leader?

  • How are you going to strengthen working relationships, skills and capabilities?

  • Would you like support in career planning?

  • What are you doing to create a better work-life balance?

  • Are you returning to work after leave e.g. illness, career break etc.

Health and social care is rewarding and challenging, not always in equal measure. Notwithstanding the trauma, pressures and distress of the last few years, if you work in this sector you will have experienced the complexities of how organisations work, the significant shift in how services are delivered and the ever present changes to our roles and how we work.

Coaching and mentoring are highly effective and complementary ways of developing and enhancing your achievements and impact at work; helping to develop greater self confidence, increase motivation and improve self reflection and understanding.

Mentoring adds a learning and supportive aspect to the relationship, where the sharing of relevant knowledge and experience are an essential part of helping identify where you want to be, setting goals and designing a plan to get you there.

I am not there to give you advice but will challenge your thinking, ask questions that deepen your own perceptions and create the space for you to develop the solutions yourself. I work with genuine and authentic intent to establish rapport, empathy and credibility, drawing on my relevant experiences and skills. My aim is to inspire, encourage and enable you to:

  • Discover new ideas and different ways of thinking

  • Create opportunities to develop new understanding, skills and knowledge

  • Reflect on performance and learning

  • Benefit from my experience and knowledge of health and social care

  • Foster your passion and guide you in your work

  • Develop and share your goals and aspirations

I have 30 years experience in health and care settings, starting in frontline and progressing through management to leadership roles. I have worked in provider services, voluntary and public sector, commissioning and currently for NHS England supporting and influencing system leaders delivering significant programmes of work for the benefit of people with a learning disability and autistic people. I have worked as an internal coach and mentor within both the public sector and voluntary and charitable organisations.
